What is communication?
It is transferring of an idea / creating and exchanging meanings of reality / transmission of message.

1.Process school: Transmission of messages how transmitters use channels and media of communication. The process school tends to draw upon the social sciences, psychology and sociology in general and tends to address itself to acts of communication.

2. Semiotic school: production and exchange of meanings. The semiotic school tends to draw upon linguistics and the arts subject and tends to identify itself to works of communication.

The Communication Process
You > Message> Channel / medium> Destination

You: Your illustrative communication will continue to change and grow as you do (age, place, time, education, culture, etc).

Message: sign + signifier + signified. You need to understand the visual code in which you will be presenting the message to your audience.

Medium: The medium must be tailored to fit those that are going to be hopefully effected by the illustration.

Destination: The destination is the receiver of the message. Your illustration should focus on a specific destination
